Counseling Services
Counseling services have recently beome "fee for service." You may pay by check or by cash. The rate is now $100 per 50 minutes. I will provide you with a receipt to send in to your insurance company. If you need counseling services right away, this is good investment for you. Paying up front helps the counselor focus on the issues, not spend precious moments on the phone with your insurance company. I am sure you understand the value of this benefit.
- Whether you are faced with an immediate crisis or whether you are contemplating "reinventing your life," talking to an objective listener can help.
- Individual counseling is a good place to start, and I've always believed that "every counselor needs a counselor!" No one individual has the wisdom that "two heads together" cannot surpass.
- Some couples go through life rarely talking to each other on a deep level, often missing opportunities for growth, renewal, and excellence in their journey together. Couples counseling will draw people closer together and closer to their goals.
- Sometimes there is nothing like a group of people who have experienced what you have experienced to comfort, nurture, and challenge you to be an overcomer and a survivor. Whether the group is for weight loss, breast cancer survival, addictions, relationships with people who have addictions, tough love for tough kids, or a myriad of other issues--sometimes groups work best.

Bariatric Counseling
Often insurance requires counseling before bariatric surgery. We can provide this service. I no longer perform bariatric assessments.
Employee Assistance Consultation
and Critical Incident Debriefings- I have recently updated my skills with training in individual and group critical incident stress debriefing training.
- I have facilitated many critical incident debriefings, including responses to 9/11, bank robberies, plane crashes, hurricanes, deaths of employees, change in the workplace, stress management, and other situations where counselors were needed on the site of the incident or the workplace.
- I was employee assistance consultant for the Mid-Carolinas District of the USPS and consulted with managment, union, and individual workers about personal and workplace issues. I organized and led groups to solve workplace problems.
